# Following

### Introduction:

On WDYM, "following" is redefined. It's not just a digital nod of acknowledgment. Here, to follow someone signifies more depth, something closer to investing in a potential startup in its infancy.

### Benefits of Following:

1. **Potential Returns:** If you follow a creator during their early days and they gain traction later, you could benefit from unfollowing them in the future, similar to how an early investment in a startup might yield higher returns later.
2. **Exclusive Access:** By following a profile, you're also granted a special pass to the creator's private group.

### Cost Calculation for the Following:

To determine the cost to follow someone, use the formula:

* `FP = (1/1000000)* x^2 + 0.001 + tax`

### Where:

* ( FP ) = Final price to follow a profile.
* ( x ) = Current number of followers the profile has.

### Taxation on Follow Actions:

There's a 10% tax imposed on both Follow and Unfollow actions. The distribution of this tax is as follows:

* 7% is directed to the creator.
* 3% goes to the WDYM platform team.
