Anyone can start operating a City Node, simply download, install, and run the software. However, purchasing at least one Sentry License Key is required to earn rewards.

Sentry nodes that are not running do not accrue rewards, even with a license key. Therefore, operators will want to ensure that their nodes are online and running.
